“Pay to Play” experiences can raise money, build community AND make the job of procurement easier over time.
For example, a local high school offered a “Prohibition Cocktail Party” annually as a signup event. The event became a beloved tradition. The hosts changed from year to year - but it was much easier to find someone to take a turn hosting the cherished event than to put together a new event, from scratch. Each host put their personal spin on the party, which kept it fresh - and it always sold out.
